Functions and Responsibilities

1, Carry out the state statistics work policy, and the statistical laws and regulations; research and advance statistical system and statistical method reform; complete national and province stipulated statistical investigation duty; inspect and surveil implementation situation of statistical laws and regulations; investigate various kinds of statistical illegal activity.

2, Formulate and implement the whole city's statistics reform, and statistics modernization plan as well as statistics investigation plan; research and formulate the whole city's unified and basic statistical system and statistical standard; establish and perfect national economy calculation system and the system of statistic.

3, Instruct and coordinate Municipal statistics office work; organize and develop the general survey and the related special investigation of municipal market conditions and municipal power; verify various departments' statistical investigation plan, inspection plan and its result.

4, Provide the statistical data for Municipal Party Committee, Municipal  Government to formulate policy and establish the national economy and society development plan; carry out statistical analysis, statistical forecast, statistical inspection appraisal, statistics inspection and supervising to national economy, advancement in technology and social development; provide the statistical information and the consultation suggestion to Municipal Party Committee, Municipal  Government and its the concerned departments.

5, Collect, reorganize, check, manage and announce the basic statistical data of municipal economy, society, technology; issue the national economy and the social development situation statistics bulletin regularly as well as the related general survey and the special investigation bulletin, issue social economy statistics information.

6, Establish, improve and manage Municipal statistics information automated system and the statistical database system; instruct all levels of basic departments strengthen the statistics construction.

7, Manage the city, countryside, enterprise investigation team and the general survey center; organize and coordinate the city, countryside, enterprise's social economy investigation.

8, Manage county (city, district) government's statistic department's the statistical cost; assist the local authority manage and the inspect county (city, district) statistic bureau chief, assistant commissioner; handle jointly with the concerned department to undertake Municipal statistics professional qualification test and the duty appraisal work; organize and instruct Municipal statistic's scientific research, the statistics education and the propaganda of statistic work.

9th, Undertake other tasks assigned by Municipal Government and Municipal Party Committee.
